Midlothian Snowsports Centre at Hillend, Edinburgh boasts of being Europe's longest snowsports facility. There are two main slopes and a fun slope for snowboarding, ski-ing and blading. They have a chairlift and two drag tows and the facility is floodlit for winter evenings. They have recently added a catering facility, cafe 360, serving soup, snacks, coffee etc.

From the middle station down the main slopes have a misting system to take the stickyness out of the surface. The jump slope is snowflex with additional padding underneath.

Mon - Sat 9.30am - 9.00pm
Sun 9.30am - 7.00pm

Summer (May - August)
Mon - Fri 9.30am - 9.00pm
Sat - Sun 9.30am - 7.00pm

They have snowboard hire facilities if you don't feel comfortable taking your expensive kit onto vicious plastic...
