Glencoe was Scotland's first commercial ski facility and while not the biggest remains popular with skiers and snowboarders due in part to its proximity to Glasgow (74 miles). Its 7 lifts (2 chairlifts, 2 pomas, 2 T-bars and 1 trainer tow) and 19 pisted runs provide access to some good beginner riding and 2,600 vertical feet of steeper terrain for more experienced snowboarders. Glencoe boasts Scotland's steepest pisted black run, The Fly Paper.
