Moray Monster Trails: Ordiequish

Trails start at the Ordiequish car park, just outside Fochabers on the back road to Boat o' Brig. To get there turn right at the chip shop / museum / sign for Police and WC if coming from Elgin (the West) and drive out of the town. Half a mile on on the left there is a car park which is signposted with Moray Monster Trails and Forestry Commission Ordiequish.

There are four waymarked trails; 1 green (easy), 2 blue (moderate) and 1 black (severe).

The Soup Dragon

Mellow, windy green graded singletrack with small jumps you can either roll over or pick up some speed and launch from. This trail is funded in part by the local soup empire Baxters of Speyside. Fun, slow or fast. There is an optional blue graded top section, The Dragon's Tail, which is short and not as much fun as the Soup Dragon.

Gordzilla

A Blue graded run, currently closed for trailbuilding.

The Haggis

A blue graded trail much better suited for XC riders than adrenaline junkies. Lack of serious gradient prevents building up much speed and long uphills disrupt the flow.

The Gully Monster

Tight, twisty, up and down singletrack - the black graded Gully Monster is suited for experienced riders and nimble bikes. Like a mountain goat track at times, the trail is fairly narrow and drops away at the sides in a slightly daunting manner.
